What you'll do

As a (Junior to Mid-Level) Technical QA Engineer you will work within our agile development team in the supervisory technology (SupTech) area to ensure the quality and performance of the Regnology Fusion Statistics software module through manual and automated testing.
  • Test Planning & Execution:
    • You will define and refine testable stories and acceptance criteria.
    • Perform manual exploratory and regression testing.
    • Test REST APIs using Postman or curl, aligned with Open API specifications.
    • Validate correctness and performance of features handling granular SDMX data.
  • Automation and Performance:
    • Build and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright or Selenium.
    • Develop and run performance and stress tests, especially on datasets containing granular data, then extrapolating on the findings.
    • Support quality checks within Docker-based environments.
    • Collaborate with developers to identify high-value areas for automation.
  • Ownership and Growth:
    • Collaborate with developers to identify high-value areas for automation.
    • Document test cases, edge cases, and testing outcomes clearly.
    • Learn the SDMX standard in depth and become a subject matter expert over time.
    • Contribute to feature documentation and release notes to support shared understanding across the team

Why we should decide on you

  • 3rd-level qualification or equivalent hands-on experience in QA, software testing
  • Some experience with test automation (e.g. Playwright, Selenium)
  • Comfortable testing, or willing to learn how to test, REST APIs with tools like Postman or curl
  • Basic understanding of Open API, or eager to learn
  • Exposure to performance testing tools like JUnit, and interest in stress testing at scale
  • Familiarity with Jira (and ideally Xray)
  • Experience or interest in working with Docker
  • An interest in data standards, especially SDMX, XBRL, or similar standards
  • Good documentation skills and a desire to understand the product, not just follow steps
