What you'll do

As a Software Engineer in Regnology, you will be part of a technical agile team responsible for developing and enhancing our core regulatory reporting product: Regnology Reporting Hub (RRH). This platform is used by major financial institutions and regulators to meet critical compliance obligations across Europe and beyond.
You will contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of Java-based backend services and data processing pipelines, ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our solutions. 
Your work will directly impact how our clients handle complex regulatory requirements such as Basel, Solvency II, AnaCredit, and more.
You’ll join a technical agile team that values quality, clean code, and continuous improvement. The team works closely with product management, QA, and DevOps to deliver features and enhancements that keep our platforms at the forefront of regulatory technology.
  
Your key accountabilities are:
• Developing and maintaining high-performance Java backend components for our RRH product.
• Analyzing complex regulatory requirements and translating them into technical specifications and working solutions.
• Collaborating with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality features on time.
• Writing clean, testable, and efficient code following best practices and internal coding standards.
• Participating in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design sessions.
• Contributing to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes and helping improve system performance and scalability.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for internal stakeholders and clients when needed.
• Staying up to date with evolving regulations, technologies, and industry trends to ensure our solutions remain best-in-class.

Why we should decide on you

  • 3 years+ experience in a software company
  • Strong understanding of Java, including core concepts (OOP, collections, multithreading, exception handling).
  • Experience with Maven for project build and dependency management.
  • JSON handling and manipulation: parsing and serialization
  • Strong knowledge of standard design and integration patterns, as well as development best practices
  • Experience with microservices
  • Spring suite, primarily core and Spring Boot
  • REST API Development, Swagger, OpenAPI
  • Database Knowledge
  • QA and CI/CD pipelines: Unit Testing and Integration Testing
  • Docker and Kubernetes: good understanding of containers, pods, and pipelines
  • Proficient with Git and collaborative tools like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
Would be an advantage:
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • JSON Schema Validation: Experience working with and validating JSON schemas

  • Quick Thinking and Problem Solving: Ability to analyze new requirements and adapt the codebase quickly to accommodate changes.
  • Growth Mindset: Willingness to learn and explore new technologies or libraries if needed for the project.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills for explaining technical details, collaborating with team members, and understanding requirements.
  • Future Maintenance and Scalability: Experience designing systems with scalability and maintainability in mind. Proactive in documenting the codebase and processes.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adjust to evolving business requirements and suggest improvements.
