What you'll do
As an IT Business Analyst, you will join a vibrant diverse team and closely work with national and international colleagues with different skills and backgrounds.
Main tasks will be:
- Contribute to the code base and software factory of our commertial off-the-shelf product Regulator 3 in a cutting-edge DevOps setup
- Guide the software implementation with a profound understanding of both business and technical side
- Collaborate directly with clients and other stakeholders in refining requirements and showcasing mockups and prototypes
- Take end-to-end responsibility for the implementation of these requirements in terms of the agile software development process: from defining user stories, implementation, building and automated testing, creating documentation for clients and internal use
- Analyze supranational financial regulations and break them down into work packages for realization
- Analyze client-specific requirements of national and supranational Financial Supervisory Authorities and aligning them from the perspective of a COTS software product
- Contribute with your genuine personality to our team spirit and development
Why we should decide on you
- You have 2 years + professional experience in software development with Python and ideally technologies such as: YAML, JSON and XML
- You are keen to gain a deep analytical understanding of problems, to devise solutions by thinking outside the box, and to put these solutions to work in a hands-on way, end-to-end
- You hold a university degree in mathematics, physics, other natural science, computer science or similar
- You are fluent in English as the primary working language of the team
- You have experience with or are open to dig into software version control through Git and with collaborative work on a forge (e.g., GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.)
- You are eager to continuously learn new things, assume different perspectives and improve your skills
- You have a proactive and communicative personality and enjoy working in a diverse team
- You are based in UK
- A profound understanding of agile software development is a plus
- Experience with additional programming languages, such as Java, is a plus
- An understanding of data modelling and storage concepts is a plus
- Experience in requirements engineering is a plus
- Experience with supranational regulatory reporting requirements and their formats like XBRL is a plus
